Interscope-newcomers The 1975 played a sold out show in San Diego this week. Proving that they're here to stay, the group also will be embarking on an arena tour in the Spring.

Mariah Carey is a force to be reckoned with. Not only has the vocal legend had multiple platinum albums and a famed residency in Vegas, but she also holds the title of "Christmas Queen." Her 1992 holiday album "Merry Christmas" featured the timeless classic, "All I Want For Christmas," which is now a holiday music staple. Carey held a firm grasp on her title of "Christmas Queen" at Saturday night's concert in the famous Beacon Theater in NYC, part of her 8-night "All I want for Christmas" concert series.
From the second Carey appeared on stage, the roaring crowd never fell silent. Addressing fans in the front of the audience, the "All I Want For Christmas" singer commented on how she recognized many of the faces of her avid fans, many of whom had traveled from as far away as China and Austrailia. Only music royalty like Mariah Carey could draw such a diverse audience from across the globe.
Adorned with a massive Christmas tree and a variety of Christmas decor, the stage was the perfect compliment to what was happening at the moment. A group of dancing and singing children accompanied the platinum-selling artist for several of her songs, adding an extra layer of "cuteness" to the show. “What is your favorite part of Christmas?” Carey asked the kids before breaking out into her newer Christmas hit, “Oh Santa.”
Whether the Grammy winning songstress was singing an original or a remake of another holiday song, it didn’t seem to matter to the thousands in attendance. Carey sang her most well-known cover “Christmas Time (Baby Please Come Home),” along with others such as “Silent Night,” “Santa Clause is Coming To Town” and more, all with vocal perfection.
Closing out the show with the non-holiday songs, “Hero” and “Emotions,” Carey came back out for the encore that everyone was waiting for. “All I Want For Christmas,” arguably one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time, closed out the end of a spectacular holiday concert!
Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” concert series runs through December 18th at New York’s Beacon Theater.

2015 breakout artist The Weeknd took over The Forum last night with Travis Scott in Los Angeles for the second consecutive night. The "Can't Feel My Face" singer is also up for seven Grammy Nominations for the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, a huge accomplishment for a new artist.

Future announced this morning that he will be embarking on his “Purple Reign Tour" in early 2016 with Ty Dolla $ign. The tour will kick off in Madison, Wisconsin on February 17th and will run 22 shows until its finale in San Jose on March 19th. Pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday, December 10th. Kendrick Lamar has had a stellar year this year with the release of his third studio album “To Pimp a Butterfly;" it’s no wonder he’s leading the pack with 11 nominations. Taylor Swift and The Weeknd both have seven nominations each after both having a solid year with excellent albums being released by both respectively.
Album of the year features the likes of Alabama Shakes, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd. Alabama Shake’s 2nd album “Sound & Color” was a huge hit among rock fans in North America as it went number one on both the U.S. Billboard 200 and Canadian Albums. Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly” soared to number one on the Billboard 200 as well as being certified gold. Chris Stapleton released his debut album “Traveller” which already won Album of the Year at the CMAs and peaked at number one on the Billboard 200. Taylor swift released her much anticipated fifth album “1989” which went 5x platinum in the U.S. as well as platinum in eight other countries. The Weeknd’s second album “Beauty Behind the Madness” was a big hit while going gold in the U.S. and platinum in a handful of countries as well as earning the number one spot on many charts around the world.
Best Pop Duo/Group Performance includes Florence + Machine, Maroon 5, Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift & Kendrick Lamar, and Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. Florence + Machine released “Ship to Wreck” back at the beginning of April and has since peaked at number 14 on the U.S. Charts and number one of the U.S. alternative charts. Maroon 5’s hit song “Sugar” soared to the number two spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and went platinum in eight different countries. Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ funky single “Uptown Funked” was an obvious success as it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. as well as many other countries. Taylor Swift's song “Bad Blood” which features Kendrick Lamar has already won a countless number of awards this year and looks to do no different at the Grammys as it went four times platinum in the U.S. “See You Again” was one of the most emotional songs released this year as it was tribute the passing of Paul Walker being featured in Furious 7. It went number one in almost every country and also reached platinum in 14 different countries.
